Matthew Widdowson - Chairman / Reserve Team Manager
Matthew Widdowson is The Punch FC's founding father. The talismatic figure drives the club forwards with limitless ambition. Like all clubs The Punch FC Chairman is slighly eccentric, with a limited attention span. Rumour has it that Matthew changes the club manager more often then his own underpants!
Rob Sadler - First Team Manager
In 1972 Rob Sadler was sent to prison by a military court for a crime he didn't commit. Rob promptly escaped from a maximum security stockade to the Northampton underground. Today, still wanted by the government, he survive as a soldiers of fortune. If you have a problem, if no one else can help, and if you can find him, maybe you can hire ... Rob Sadler.
Bob Taylor - Administration Director
Bob Taylor is a founding member of The Punch FC joining the club as a player in August 2005. During the 2005 season he took over as Club Secretary and was promoted to Administration Director shortly afterwards. The seasoned defender is as organised in the back line as is he is with the paperwork. No administration fines during the 2007-08 season means Bob received a bonus to rival major corporate chairmen.
Rachel O'Conner - Secretary
Rachel O'Connor is a former Army major and novelist who made headlines in the United Kingdom after she was accused of cheating in the television show Who Wants To Be A Millionaire? in 2001. She was convicted of deception, although she maintains her innocence.
Helen Widdowson - Marketing and Development Officer
Helen Widdowson joined the staff at the end of the 2007 season. As Marketing and Development Officer her role is to promote The Punch FC brand and build on the solid foundations set by the board. Rumours amoungst the players suggest she has the chairman's match balls locked in her purse.
David Boyd - First Team Coach
David Boyd is a clown character used as the primary mascot of the McDonald's fast-food restaurant chain. In television commercials, the clown inhabits a fantasy world called McDonaldland, and has adventures with his friends Mayor McCheese, the Hamburglar, Grimace, Birdie the Early Bird, and The Fry Kids.
Tim Collingwood - Reserve Team Coach
Tim Collingwood is a henchman to the villain Auric Goldfinger in the James Bond film and novel, Goldfinger. He wears a bowler hat lined with a metal razor disk in the rim, using it as a lethal flying disc.
Steve Banks - Club Captain
Steve Banks joined the club during the 2008-2009 campaign. Steve was a member of the England national team that won the 1966 World Cup. He was named by Pelé as one of the top 125 greatest living footballers in March 2004. His consistent performances led to the re-wording of a common English idiom used in everyday speech to "Safe as the Banks of England."
Craig Hackleton - Reserve Team Captain
Craig Hackleton originally joined the squad during the 2005-2006 campaign. Craig's previous experience is clouded in mystery, some say he is The Stig from BBC's Top Gear, whilst others claim he was instumental in England's Rugby World Cup success in 2003!
